products & application
Can anti-slip treatments be applied to new and existing floors?
Anti-slip systems can be installed on newly constructed floors as well as on existing surfaces. Proper surface preparation is essential to ensure durability and performance, especially for older or previously treated floors. Our team evaluates the substrate and recommends the most suitable system to achieve long-lasting slip resistance.
Can I install the product myself, or is professional installation recommended?
While certain products are suitable for self-installation, we generally recommend professional installation to guarantee the best possible result. Proper surface preparation and correct application are essential to ensure long-term adhesion and slip resistance. Our team has the expertise and equipment to deliver a safe and durable finish.
Are there weather limitations for applying anti-slip solutions?
For optimal and long-lasting results, weather conditions must be suitable. In cases of frost, heavy rain, or very high humidity, certain anti-slip solutions cannot be applied. We always assess site and weather conditions in advance and, if necessary, reschedule the work to ensure quality and safety.
showroom & advice
Can I see and test your anti-slip products?
Yes, absolutely. We have a large showroom at our headquarters in Nieuwegein (Utrecht) where all our anti-slip solutions are on display. You are welcome to visit and experience the different systems, textures, and finishes in person. If preferred, we can also visit your location and bring selected samples, allowing you to assess the most suitable solution directly on site. Please contact us to schedule an appointment, we’ll be happy to assist you.
Delivery & Logistics
What is the delivery time for the products?
Delivery times depend on the type of product ordered.
Custom-made products have a production and delivery time of approximately 4–5 weeks.
Stock items are available for immediate dispatch, subject to availability.
If you have a specific deadline, please contact us and we will be happy to advise on the fastest available option.
What are the shipping costs?
Shipping costs vary depending on the size, weight, and destination of the order. We work with different transport partners to ensure the most efficient and cost-effective delivery method for each shipment. The exact shipping costs will be calculated and confirmed with your quotation or order confirmation.
Safety & Liability
Are the anti-slip solutions safe for pets and children?
Our anti-slip systems are developed for safe use in residential and commercial environments. Once properly installed and fully cured, they are safe for pets and children and help reduce the risk of slips and falls. If required, we can provide product-specific information regarding safety and compliance standards.
As the owner, am I liable for unsafe floors?
Owners or managers of a floor, staircase or other surface inside or outside the building can be liable for the safety of residents, visitors, passers-by, personnel or third parties. If you cannot prove that you have taken preventive measures to prevent slippage, you can be liable and responsible. This can entail very high costs and is also not a good advertisement for your company, building, shopping centre or facility. With the anti-slip solutions from GripFactory you reduce the risk of slips and thus claims.
Maintenance & Repairs
What happens if my anti-slip surface gets damaged?
In the event of damage, most anti-slip systems can be repaired without the need for full replacement. The appropriate solution depends on the product type and the extent of wear or impact. We will inspect the affected area and advise whether a local repair, partial re-application, or full refurbishment is required.
Appearance & Performance
Do anti-slip coatings affect the colour or texture of decorative floors?
We offer anti-slip coatings in various colours and different levels of texture, so you can choose the look and grip that best suits your project. For situations where the original design must remain unchanged, we also provide fully transparent solutions. This allows us to improve safety while preserving the visual appearance of your floor.
What is a R-value?
Every year millions of people end up in the hospital due to a fall due to slipping. Slippery floors due to moisture, chemicals or greases are a major cause of this type of accident. Requirements regarding floor safety are increasingly formulated and laid down in standards. The anti-slip value of a surface is indicated with an R-value. This R-value is divided into five categories, related to the level of the slip risk. To determine the R-value, the surface is tested on an adjustable, inclined surface. R11 is recommended for surfaces with a normal risk of slipping. Surfaces with an increased risk of slipping should be at least R12.
What is the Coefficient of Friction?
The coefficient of friction is indicated by the μ (Mu) symbol. The NEN7909 describes a method for determining the dynamic friction coefficient of floors and sets limit values for dry floors (μ > 0.30), wet floors (μ > 0.40) and wet floors in swimming pools (μ > 0.45).
Which slip resistance tests are available and why do we perform them?
We carry out slip resistance testing to objectively measure the level of grip on a surface and determine whether it meets the required safety standards. These measurements help assess potential slip risks and verify compliance with relevant regulations and guidelines. Depending on the project requirements and applicable standards, different testing methods can be performed. Our team will advise on the most suitable method based on the type of surface, environment, and industry standards involved. By conducting slip resistance testing, we ensure that the selected anti-slip solution delivers measurable, compliant, and reliable safety performance.
